About 'German Iron padlock 18th century'
Very large iron padlock with secret keyhole opening. The keyhole is hidden behind a small door. This can be opened by turning the ornament downwards with the key in the window above the door. This causes the small door to pop open and the key can be inserted into the keyhole and the lock to be opened. Dimensions when closed: 17cm high and 11cm wide. Germany 18th century
