A robed man carrying a small structure or chest, one hand raised in gesture.
Below, a smaller animated figure appears to run or fall, rendered with expressive movement.
The rest of the surface is left plain and black, creating a striking contrast with the gold-colored reliefs. The interior of the rim shows a warm reddish-brown oxidation, characteristic of older Japanese bronzes.
